Maple Grove Senior High School, home of the Crimson, has a storied history of athletic excellence. The school has been recognized as the #1 Best High School for Athletes in Minnesota, a testament to its commitment to sports and student development. The Crimson have made notable appearances in state tournaments across various sports, including soccer, tennis, football, cross country, swimming and diving, adapted hockey, hockey, dance, Nordic skiing, wrestling, baseball, softball, golf, track and field, lacrosse, robotics, debate, and speech. In a significant move, Maple Grove Senior High transitioned from the Northwest Suburban Conference to the Lake Conference in the fall of 2025. This change aligns the Crimson with other competitive programs, offering new challenges and opportunities for student-athletes.
